Systems
Engineer
dstore's proprietary software platform is a multiple module, heavily
integrated and highly functional web application linking to multiple databases
hosted on comprehensive and scalable server infrastructure.
The successful candidate will report directly to the IT Manager and will
work as part of a team managing and maintaining the technology platform
behind one of Australia's largest ecommerce companies.
You will be responsible primarily for the infrastructure behind the store
front, including maintenance, capacity planning, performance tuning and
uptime. You will also be responsible for the regular release process.
Additionally when project deadlines are tight, you may be required to
carry out some temporary PHP development.
As the role is primarily systems based, you will also be part of an “on
call” roster to help minimize any downtime or other issues, should
they occur.
Required Skills
- At least 2 years Systems Administration experience within a Linux
Environment
- Experience working with and managing MySQL Databases
- Experience configuring and managing Apache Web Servers
- Use of Source control, either CVS or Subversion
- Knowledge of Storage Area Networks
Desirable Skills
- PHP Programming Knowledge
- C Programming Knowledge
- Experience working with online transactional systems such as ecommerce.
- RHEL Cluster Suite
- High Availability systems
