In the chequered history of rock’n’roll, there hasn’t been too many bands who have undertaken a radical change in musical direction whilst recording their debut album. It’s three years on since the release of Eskimo Joe’s acclaimed Girl LP, now the friendly yet furtive trio are back on a new label with their second album, A Song Is A City.

A Song Is A City represents another bold new era for the band as they look within to uncover a new realm of emotive music, excelling themselves in the process.

While Girl found the band jumping the crossroads from crunchy punk to sailing, atmospheric pop’n’roll, A Song Is A City sees them settling into their impressive musicality, with vocalist/bass player Kav Temperley consolidating his strengths as a songwriter.
