FRWD Sports Performance Recorder is an easy to use product - just one button will enable you to focus on your performance.....not your recording device.
It consists of an arm attachable FRWD Recorder Unit and the FRWD Replayer PC Software. Route, location, time, speed, distance, heart rate, altitude profile, pitch angles, temperature and air pressure are recorded every second in the FRWD Recorder Unit. The recorded data is replayed, analysed and compared afterwards in the FRWD Replayer PC Software.
FRWD Replayer PC Software includes animated 2D/3D-routes, comparison between performances and a versatile analysis of the recorded data, such as maximum and average speed and heart rate. The terrain profile of the route can be easily seen throughout the whole performance. The user can also look at the exact values and analyse the performance in close detail from various aspects.
FRWD offers great advantages in coaching, improving sports performances, education and rehabilitation. The product can also be used in testing equipment in various sports. For example a cyclist can analyse the effect different bikes can have on speed and heart rate, and in rowing the athlete can compare the effect a particular setup has on the performance.
Prior to FRWD it has not been possible to combine for example heart rate data with location. Now it is enabled by a brand new way of utilizing GPS-technology. FRWD O400 is designed for professional athletes and coaches. The O400 uses 9 pin serial cable to connect to your computer but we will add a Serial to USB converter including driver software valued at $50 to allow it to connect to your USB port.
There are some small differences between the O400 and the new models due this year mainly regarding, physical dimensions, memory, connectivity (Bluetooth), and Estimated Oxygen consumption data analysis (for professional athletes).
New models use Bluetooth to connect to your computer whereas this 0400 uses a cable. In our opinion, cable is the most reliable and your computer would need to have a bluetooth receiver inbuilt or a separate bluetooth dongle in order to connect with later models.
Note the 0400 was the TOP OF THE LINE when it was released so you are getting an absolute bargain if you buy today. New model software can also be dowloaded from the FRWD website but we will include a copy of this software too so that you can use the latest analysis software right from the word "GO".
FRWD O400 records and analyses in 1 second intervals for up to 2.5 hrs. The memory can also be set to record at 5 second intervals for over 10hrs of data in one session. 99% of athletes will find that amount of memory more than adequate so hurry and buy it now before it's too late.
