For those without credit cards.
Although Wii Points can be bought via credit card instantly, the Wii Points Card remains for those for whom this is not convenient, such as children.
Wii Points can be used to buy Virtual Console games in the Wii Shop Channel, and many classics from the NES, SNES, N64, Genesis and TurboGrafx-16, among others, are available for download. Also available is other software like the Internet Channel, and soon-to-be-released WiiWare games.
A Wii Points Card is a great investment for those looking for a nostalgia trip, or to try older games they've never played.

we all know its hard to buy your grand child somthing they will actualy enjoy and not just say they like it when your around and ive found the solution after years of pretending my nan now gives me a wii points card for my birthdays I love it It allows me to buy games classic games on the wii shopping channel known as virtual console games these include games from sega Mega Drive, SNES, NES, N64, Turbo Grafx, and Neo Geo and there is always something new to choose from. I love the range but my nan just loves the convenience you can get a card from a lot of retailers or online but most of all she just likes to she a genuine smile on my face it makes my day all that more speacial when she has a go with me its great.

Great gift for kids and Wii owners!
Wii points are great to give to children who don't have a credit card. They also make a perfect gift for any Wii owner. Wii points are basically credits to buy classic games on the Wii Shopping Channel.
Classic games from the older generation consoles. They are knonwn as "virtual console" games on the Wii. These include, Sega Mega Drive, SNES, NES, N64, Turbo Grafx, and Neo Geo consoles.
Nintendo release new virtual console games weekly so there is no such thing as too many Wii points.
