Adventure game with a unique "Dia de los Muertos" look, from the mind of Tim Schafer. You play Manny Calavera, a mid-level worker at the Department of Death (the DOD) who's trying to work off his sins in life so that he can get to his final reward. As a reaper, Manny frees incoming souls from their shrouds, finds out what kind of underworld travel packages their goodness in life has earned them, and then sends them on their way. Unfortunately, business hasn't been very good for Manny of late. As the game begins, Calavera is told that he must sell a premium travel package to a soul or lose his job. In his search, Manny uncovers a hideous plot, a beautiful woman, and a crew of loyal friends (not necessarily in that order). The world is a rich one, complete with its own laws, its own personality types, and landscapes. The game takes place in four parts

Beautiful!
This game is definitely on my "what to take to a deserted island" list. Where to start! this game is just incredibly beautiful to begin with. The game is an aztec/spanish/mexican Film Noir with dead people.
You play Manny Calavera who sounds like cheech (from Cheech and Chong) He picks up many friends and enemies as he travels around "limbo".
Manny is a travel agent for the underworld giving people who are "saints" a trip on the number nine train (which goes to eternal rest in 4 minutes) or to "sinners" a walking cane (which takes four years to travel to eternal rest).
But someone is ripping off the "saints" especially one Meche (Mercedes). So Manny has to find her traveling through the underworld alone.
The music is jazz/Bossa Nova and is a great soundtrack just to listen to it by itself. The voices are great and the Characters full and 3D.
This is definitely one you should get. Especially if you are a fan of "point and click" adventures!
Its also a very funny game!
