A Tell-Your-Own Story of Legend

Fable is certainly one of the better RPGs that I have played in that it is not too long, and not so challenging that you waste hours of your life trying to complete a single quest (for further information, play World of Warcraft, then you'll understand, lol). The game as a whole has plenty to offer in regards to the variety of ways you can play through the game and the many challenges you must overcome overcome.

It really is a choose your own destiny sort of game in which there is no real right or wrong way in which to play through the game. It is enthralling, but drawn out, the tutorials are annoying as there is no real way to rush through them, slowing the pace of the game right down from the outset. However, as you progress, things become a lot easier to comprehend and the things you used to find challenging become common practice.

The Characters bring a real extra depth to the game, in the way you can interact with them, especially the law enforcement (the guards) as they show you that even in games, the long hand of the law can still give you that nudge in the right direction.

I guess the main reason that this game drew me in was that the way you play, effects the outcome of your characters growth/upbringing. So if you get the chance, give it ago, I can't guarantee that all gamers will like it, but for those who love a quality RPG with plenty of re-playability, this is the game for you.

Forge your town fairytale

Do you become a fighter, a thief, or a powerful mage? You can change the outcome of your character's physical apperance such as a new hair cut, tattoo and battle scars depending on the actions you lead your character into, as well as building up your reputation while the days turn into years and the inevitable aging of your character. Although these features allow the players to develop a connection with the character as if s/he were the character himself, the downside to Fable is its cliched/linear storyline and lack of challenge in its dynamic environment.
