compelling viewing

This series was outstanding in it's realism, storytelling and rawness of the second world war.If you know nothing about history you will still be drawn in by the moving stories of these brave soldiers who fought for peace. The harrowing scenes make you realise what they really went through. This is the best war series i have seen.so good in fact that i am buying it for any-one i know for christmas.

Fire in the Hole!

Band of Brothers is the most spiritually uplifting true-to-life WW2 recreation that has ever been made!

This mini-series is better than "Saving Private Ryan", in both its grittyness and storyline. You almost feel like your in the battles yourself alongside Cpt. Winters of Easycompany.

If you didn't see this Mini-series when it aired on TV, or even if you did, BUY THIS DVD!

A truly heart-wrenching experience!

Easy and Undefeated

Band of Brothers is a series of World War II films that really hits the spot. It shows the emotions and hardships that the soldiers had to go through in such a horrific time.

Easy company of the 506th regiment, 101st airbourne are paratroopers on a mission to invade and take back Europe. They were to jump over Normandy on D-day (June 6th 1944)to begin the invasion.

Band of Brothers tells of men who fought, went hungry, froze and died. It feels like you can walk, suffer and laugh with them. This series takes you through the rigorous training, the battles and hardships and the victories that the men of Easy endured.

I liked the series because it showed what the men of Easy and all the men who participated in the war had to go through. The losses they had to experience. Being pretty much as close to death as possible. Overall this series is excellent. This series rates up there with "Saving private Ryan" and "The Thin Red Line". I suggest that anyone who is thinking of going to war should watch this series first.

Fantastic!

This was an excellent series showing the true reality of the second world war.
This film showed not only the violence and cruelty that was afflicted on men, women and children it also showed the harsh freezing weather conditions that these men had to fight in.
You could see the tremendous mental pressure that these men fought under, experiencing post traumetic stress disorder and not being able to sleep for days on end.
It was also good to see the soldiers telling there own experiences at the start of each episode.
An Excellent Series!
